Anger

In roaring flames within me dwells,
Higher than heaven, hotter than Hell

Remembered in solitude,
Forgotten in numbers,
Overshadowed by gratitude

Towards the others
Who have given me a life
I could not have had without them.
...But gone? Never, like a former wife

Raging within my heart
Like a hurricane,
But so skillfully woven...Hidden... in my art.
Will it ever wane?
I do not know, but still,

Perhaps if I am strong,
Perhaps if I have the will,
I might break the chains that bind me,
And speak the mind that's hiding

Away for fear of loneliness
The time its so safely biding,
Breeding, in itself, the darkness

It fears, too weak to see
The answer in it, the answer in me,

The answer that is our voice.
